Bizi Games
About us
In 2021, we were two friends — an artist and a programmer — who loved playing games together. One day, while playing Stardew Valley (thanks for that one, ConcernedApe!), we started talking about making games: “We have the art and the code. Why not give it a try?” A couple of dozen minutes later, we were already coming up with the concept for Island Clicker, our first game.
We had no experience, but we wanted to make something of our own. We threw ourselves into development: making mistakes, reworking things, trying again, and learning along the way. At first, we called ourselves HZ&Timka. Then “Bizi” came up in a conversation, and Bizi Games got its name. As our first project took shape, we also became a couple.
Years later, there are still two of us. We sometimes collaborate with friends and other teams, but we do most of the work together. We keep learning and fit development around other work to support ourselves. You could still call making games our hobby, but it has become a big part of our lives.
Different games, one team
We enjoy different kinds of games and do not want to limit ourselves to one genre. There are always more ideas than time, so we choose the ones that excite us both. We like experimenting, finding each project’s atmosphere, and watching an idea gradually become a game. We do not have a single favourite project — each means something to us.
How we want to create
We have tried different approaches along the way. We used generative AI extensively in three projects. That experience helped us understand how we want to work in the future: we have decided those three projects will be our last to use it. For new games, we want to create the visuals and music ourselves or collaborate with other creators. It will take more time, but we want to work through the details ourselves and put more of ourselves into them.
Together with our players
We also love talking with the people who play our games. Many player requests and suggestions become part of our updates. We cannot implement everything, but that connection matters to us: seeing people spend time with something we made, notice the details, and look forward to what comes next.
We have ideas for larger projects, too. For now, we are working towards them gradually — the two of us, still learning and making the games we want to create.
